You are doing this the DIY way, which is great-you save money and learn the system. But here is the Golden Rule to avoid headaches:
Do NOT skip the "Apple Maps" Video. It is tempting to just copy-paste the code snippets (Step 3) and think you are done.
You are not. If you don't verify your business on Apple Maps (Step 4), Siri will still ignore you, no matter what code is on your site.
Watch that video first.
